Miss Zahra Jaffry
BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCS, PGCert
After graduating Medicine from King’s College London, Zahra began her Foundation Training in the South Thames Deanery. She was able to balance her clinical duties with academic interests, from the use of technology to improve outcomes in orthopaedics during her iBSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia at Imperial College London, to investigating the global burden of surgical disease through placements at the Beit Cure Hospital, Malawi and the World Health Organisation, Geneva. More recently, she developed an interest in teaching, completing a year as a Surgical Simulation Fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education. Now, having completed Core Surgical Training in the Kent, Surrey Sussex Deanery and ranking 1st at National Selection for Trauma and Orthopaedics training, she is working as Registrar at the Royal London Hospital on the Percivall Pott Rotation.
