Riana Patel is currently working at the Whittington Hospital. She graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2017 and afterwards worked as an Academic Foundation Doctor in the Oxford Global Surgery Group from 2017-2019.  She completed her core surgical training at Watford General Hospital. Among her interests are medical education, innovation, and global surgery. She has co-founded the Global Scalpels Podcast, which places a spotlight on the people contributing to the global development of healthcare and surgery. She has also previously worked for the MHRA, providing scientific advice to numerous companies developing products for the UK population.
