
Mr Andreas Fontalis
MD MRCS MSc(Dist) PhD​
Andreas is an ST6 on the Percivall Pott Rotation, with a particular passion for academia and for understanding how technology can improve outcomes in Orthopaedic surgery. Following an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship and an MSc in Medical Research Methodology, he completed a PhD at UCL examining the impact of enhanced technologies on patient-oriented and radiological outcomes in hip and knee arthroplasty and now holds an Honorary Associate Professorship there. He has published extensively in this field, presented his work at national and international meetings and contributes to international committee work advancing digital health in Orthopaedics. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, running and playing the guitar.
