Having completed ST8 after returning from Tygerberg Academic Hospital in Cape Town as an OOPT, David’s areas of interests are major trauma and the lower limb, particularly joint preservation surgery. Before medicine he graduated with first class honours in Sport & Exercise science at Loughborough University. Following graduate medicine at the University of Leicester, he completed an academic foundation programme in North London. Prior to core surgery in the London deanery he undertook an MSc in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford graduating with double distinction and also spent time at Tygerberg Academic Hospital in Cape Town. Outside orthopaedics he enjoys a wide range of sports and took a 6 month out of programme opportunity to set a world record with his wife as the fastest couple to have cycled around the world.
